The music industry has experienced unprecedented changes in recent years. Possibly the biggest change is the convergence of everything. Not long ago almost everyone in the music industry specialized in one area or another. They needed to know a lot about something and not much about anything else, that was the norm. In a paradigm shift, today everyone needs to know something about everything and a lot about something. The combined curriculum in the first term of APP and AMP covers everything about the new music industry at an advanced introductory level. Students learn something about all aspects of the music industry before learning a lot about something in the second and third levels of both programs.
